Certainly, I will pray, as you request for the repose of the soul of Fr. Quinn... I have, as of late tried to walk the Stations daily and I offer my little walk for priests and those studying for the priesthood... I think I can easily remember Fr. Quinn on that walk... Aslo, I will keep the Shrine and it's members also in my prayers... I have gotten into the habit of 'attatching' petitions for those who are wandering away from the Church to my morning prayers so, I will remember to add them there... I am so grateful to those faithful Religious who have helped me along -- I'm happy to return a little in some way. Thank you for the opportunity.

In your charity, I ask you to pray for the repose of the soul of Fr. John J. Quinn, pastor of the St. Pius V Shrine in Lake Zurich. (The St. Pius V Shrine is an independent traditionalist chapel.) He died March 27, 2004.

Although Fr. Quinn's situation was most irregular, and some of his views extreme, in a lot of ways he tried to be a good priest in the situation he was in.

Before Cardinal Bernardin (RIP) allowed the Tridentine Mass at St. John Cantius, I used to attend the St. Pius V Shrine. Fr. Quinn taught me to serve the Tridentine Mass, and prepared my sister for her first Confession and Holy Communion.

In any case, may he rest in peace.

And please also pray for the St. Pius V Shrine, that the chapel and its members may be reconciled to the Church.
